Bacon Caused Me to Have A Breakdown

Updated: Jul 5, 2022

This is an actual discussion I had with someone who had a mini breakdown/panic attack when they couldn't find the bacon they had put away to make for breakfast that day.

Having someone you love mention that they had a breakdown when they couldn't find the bacon that they put aside may sound excessive, even silly.

This can be an opportunity to cheek in and see what else may be going on in this person's life. How are they doing emotionally?

Breakdowns and related attacks can arise for a variety of reasons. Where one person sees misplaced luncheon meat, another person sees inner pain and strife.

Where one person tells you that you are overreacting to a simple misplaced item, someone else asks you about what's going on inside.

It's easy to write someone off by believing that they are reacting a certain way for "no real reason" but if you take the time and look close enough you'll probably find that there is much more going on than meets the eye.

Safety is not simply about the physical. Take a step today to make sure that your loved ones are ok on the outside but also on the inside.

We never really know when the next bacon incident may occur!

This is a little message about showing compassion and caring for someone. I hear many people saying that we need more of this in the world. This is your invitation to be the person who begins this movement in your inner circle. Be the trendsetter and take a moment today to begin increasing your caring and compassion for others.
