How to live like a tortoise when you were trained like a hare?

This is something that I dealt with and had trouble figuring out for a long time. I was trained, in the early stages of my life, as a hare; move as fast as possible, do as many things as possible and get as much as you can as soon as you can.

This type of approach sounded logical but didn't quite fit my personality style for some reason.

Since I was trained in this style from such an early age, I felt that living like a tortoise would be a waste of my time and I would be losing ground each moment that I would stop to smell the flowers.

Since changing my approach through my life enrichment process, I have embraced living like a tortoise and it has worked wonders for me.

It seems to fit my natural style much better and in a surprising twist, I am able to move faster and get more done because I am THINKING like a tortoise and not like a hare.

I am able to better plan things out and work my plan step-by-step instead of always feeling like I have to go faster and faster because "there are other hares out there" that might win the race.

Leave me here with my tortoise ways, enjoying each moment as it comes and savoring as much out of life as I can while I can.


It may not be for everyone, but it works best for me.
